JLA,

You're the attorney, but wouldn't your friend have a legitimate grievance over the adverse publicity surrounding his firing?

I know that in California, businesses must keep well advised as to what employee information they are not allowed to disclose, which is just about everything. I believe this allowed information is limited to the times or periods of employment and a couple of other equally general things I believe they are no longer even allowed to answer the question, "Would you hire this person again?"

Anyway, in California, I believe your friend would have a lot of avenues of recourse.

Holly

And this is why I feel we should be very, very careful in our assessment of stories like Jones's. And Willey's.

A friend of mine had a similar problem. Fortunately, before things went too far the woman in question further alleged that he'd been sending her lewd messages through the heating system and she was packed off to a clinic.
