Clinton got lucky--the economy has been very, very good. Personally, I don't believe presidents have much control over economic trends, although I know others feel differently. If people were out of work, standing in lines for jobs that didn't exist, I think we would take his problems much more seriously. In all fairness, though, to the "system", all of this is being investigated, and his own Attorney General has helped somewhat. I think that is a remarkably open and non-corrupt system of government, comparatively speaking. Have you been to South America recently?
