Johannes,

I am not an expert on chart analysis, but to me the Adaptec chart looks like the stock has made a bottom and is bouncing along. It will not make a significant long term break out until the volume picks up. Buy here, and watch the volume. I like the "on balance volume" indicator to tell me when accumulation of a stock is occuring. wj

As for chart analysis, what you have been seeing with the price jumps and backfills has been smart money moving into the stock longterm with MM's that want out for nearterm action selling. They will play out whatever and then buy back also. Smart longterm money by institutions has been behind the buying jumps recently.
