Elk ~ >>How the hell does someone get from the announcement of a Management team, the announcement of independent OPERATION of FNET, and the schedule and timeframe of the rollout, to FTEL owners are getting screwed<<

Now there's a good question! I asked Helen what had changed by FNET spinning off as an independent subsidiary and guess what? She said that the only change is that Frank has turned over the reigns to the new boys and are letting them run with it. He will continue to be on the board but is not responsible for the everyday operations. That, plus the accounting will be seperate.

I asked her if FTEL still owned 60% of FNET and she said she thought it was closer to 70%. Evidently, it is a function of the IPO of FNET to determine how the FTEL shareholders will be compensated. There are considerations such as capital gains (nice problem) that need to be resolved.

I was taking Martin's word on how many DVGs would be deployed in each city, so I asked about that too. The colocate agreement requires Franklin to install a minimum of one FULL rack at each location. A rack can hold as few as eight and as many as 13 units, depending on how they are configured. Why did I ever doubt you, Martin. ggg

The most positive thing I picked up was that this new crew is planning a faster deployment to the international cities. That's why 25% of the first group is going to be international. I think this is very smart because it seems to me that the incentive is much greater for companies (and individuals) to hop on the new band(width)wagon.

The sky is falling! The sky is fal......uh, wait a minute. That's pennies from Heaven. ~ ChickenJack

Elk , Give us a clue
What is a co-location agreement and how does
FTEL fit in? Have you read the Agreement?
Can you post it on this thread so we can all
read it? and while you are doing it point out
the clues for us.
PS your post is PURE hype.

elk, please answer these questions.

1. Is the WCOM colocation agreement with FTEL or FNET???
2. What is the compensation to FTEL shareholders for FNET's spin-off since we (FTEL) presently own 70% of FNET??

Just because people have questions is not a reason to tell them to buzz off. I presently own shares in a company (FTEL) that has a 70% interest in FNET. I just want to know that the 70% of that company is not being spun off for no value??

Simple questions, simple answer please?

What is missing here?

What is missing is a direct and explanatory announcement mapping out WHAT is occurring and when. Yea I know it's going to happen sometime in the summer (June 21st to Sept ??, FNET will be spun off off FTEL with or without a substantial equity share in FNET. Shareholders may or may not get shares, Magruder may or may not now be FNET, the money in NTC may or may not own most of FNET for their promise of funding and/or management expertise. I wonder who Magruder's "team" is?

We will have to see what, when and if FTEL straightens out the questioned items.

I am sure that Frank wanted to release this news as quickly as possible to inform everyone (I Hope). If that is the case the followup information and details SHOULD be revealing. If not then we (shareholders) need to request it.

SETH 1. NO - NOT FLUFF (very significant)
2. NO/MAYBE (too early to tell non sufficient information -will depends on your frame of reference i.e the money and management guys OR the shareholder
