You answered my 1st question, but I am not sure the 2nd was answered. Do you think Paul was still a Jew in the sense that he felt he was under the old law of sacrifice or did he consider himself a Christian(follower of Christ)that happened to be Jewish? It is notable at this point that Jesus did not approach a gentile to convert yet.

Paul says (Romans 3: 19-20) that BY the law we all become conscious of sin,but no one will be declared righteous by observing the law.

Having said that, why did Jesus convert a Jew(Paul) if he would have been saved anyway, just because he was a Jew?(outwardly)

Maybe not small enough byte.

DLL,

<< Paul was a Jew. Paul was a Messianic Jew.>>

I can't find the word Messianic anywhere in the scriptures, what book are you quoting from?

<<We share the promise of G-d to the Jew, we do not invite them into some new gentile promise. >>

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is therefore neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female, for ye are all one in Christ. And if ye be Christ's then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. -Gal.

All (Not just a select group) who are in Christ share the promises that God made to Abraham, and Paul here affirms that in Christ there is no difference between a Jew or Greek. Many Messianic Jews on the other hand believe that God is going to reestablish the Jewish nation and cut off everyone else, do you believe that? If this were true then where would the rest of Abraham's seed reside. The scriptures state plainly that Abraham was searching for a city whose builder and foundation was the Lord. Everyone who is in Christ is also looking forward to that same city. It is called the new Jerusalem.

-Chris

<<Paul was a Jew. Paul was a Messianic Jew. Just as Crispus and virtually all other believers in the book of Acts. Act 18:8 And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized>>

I still don't know where you come up with this. I have searched the bible and have not found anything that substantiates your claim. I can't even find the word Messianic. Please shed a little more light on this by explaining.

-Chris
