Jeez, that would be a $70 billion acquisition. LU has a market cap of $95 billion or so. I wonder if it is possible. It would be a giant indeed, and no other company on earth could withstand their marketing combined prowess. I'd like to see it happen, but somehow I doubt it.

About one chance in a million!

A merger would be more likely possibility but I don't see it.

Cisco is hitting on all cylinders, LU is not at this point.

I read that Lucent can't do an aquisition until later this year after a 2 year wait from the Att spinoff. I don't know if that is true. As for a split, that would be great for me, the sooner the better. BAWK!
