Danny - nice link - Ballmer states the following - . Ballmer stated that "Microsoft has not yet declared that it is in firewalls. But we have a proxy product that we will expand and expand expand." This is what I had been saying all along - unfortunately Proxy Server is only a few features away from being an enterprise class firewall - i.e. CHKPF FireWall-1. I'll be curious to see how well or agressive MSFT is in marketing security. They haven't done much as of yet with that - they have marketed Proxy Server as an 'extensible firewall' to this point. But this is a natural extension for Proxy Server - as their current iteration of product - 2.0 has been in production for some time and naturally needed to evolve. And the natural evolution is not along web-caching - but more into the security aspect. Again, let's see how well MSFT markets it - unfortunately - they have always been a juggernaut at marketing. This makes a lot more sense for today's action than it did based on earnings. Sequential revenue growth was flat - but still a very strong report.
