John,
Does Intel get a reduction in price, from the $700 million that we were going to pay Digital, now that DEC can't deliver what Intel paid for....i.e. exclusive rights (X pre sold rights )to the Alpha Chip? Or is the deal so good for Intel that we should take it any way, even with the new FTC restriction?
Regards,
Jules

Could you answer a few questions for me?

1. Which device will be the first to be manufactured on the 0.18 micron process?

2. I read the discussion last fall about the HP/Intel partnership on Merced and I recall your emphatic post to the effect that the chip will be owned entirely by Intel. However I don't think it was ever made clear exactly what HP is getting in return for their investment. Could you help me with this?

3. Will the second chip in the IA-64 series also be intended for high end servers?

Thanks--Andy
