TCHAI, good analysis. Technically, I like how the volume has been tapering off over the last 3 days in line with the price decline. My indicators show we are probably close to the bottom and if the market doesn't melt down next week, we should see the stock higher by the end of the week.

I agree with you regardings options and option related activity, especially in a stock like BORL. In essense, I have been saying the same for some time on this thread and elsewhere. A good strategy here is to sell covered calls, almost monthly, and you end up making a bundel. Ghassan.

I like your advice re options...I have held option positions in BORL before...I got out on the last rally...I have never done well enough to justify the heartache...although last time I made a good profit...with a share price in the 9's you might as well buy the shares as spend 2 3 or 4 bucks on an option that is going to expire...The situation is different with a stock in the $80 $90 or $100 range where you get a big leverage. Go BORL

BORL has been my first adventure down "Options Alley". I must say that certainly my expectations have not been met. I bought Jan 98 & 99 10's when they were cheap, and I had nearly 1 & 2 years of premium on each respectively. Since then, the Jan 98's expired worthless. I also had some Nov 12.5's and Apr 10's expire worthless. However, in Jan, when Borl dropped below 7.5, I picked up some Feb 7.5's cheap. I knew that they would do well. As they did, and I recovered all of my options-related losses to date. I still have the Jan 99 10's & 20's. Looking back, I think the real lost opportunity with the leaps would have been selling short-term calls against them. There is one other important point. With all of the uncertainty over the last year, the calls provided a cheap way to have a stake in possible BORL run. I feel alot better about having lost $1000 than I would have having 10-15K tied up in a non-performing stock for more than a year.

Also, I do have a core position of shares bought near 6. I am very comfortable holding on to these for the long haul. Also, I can not imagine the 99 10's expiring worthless. I believe the MM's will endup eating these.
