"Would the Lord with hold a blessing to keep some of
His flock close?"

Bob,
It is not a blessing if it's keeping us distant from God.
God will not only whithold such "blessings", but He will jerk out of the bososm of His children any such false blessings keeping us from full fellowship and communion with himself.

The love of money is the root of all evil.
It is very difficult for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God. The love of the world is enmity with God. If we love the world we

These are unpopular and even bitter thoughts for the contented rich just as the exclusive and narrow Kingdom-gate of Jesus is for those who are antichrist. Much wealth has the tendency to divert our minds from the things of the Kingdom to the things of this world.

ITim6
17: Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 18: That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19: Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

IJohn2
15:" Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17: And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
18: Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
19: They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."

Dear Bob:

>>>>Would the Lord with hold a blessing to keep some of
His flock close?"<<<<<

I agree with Emile, in a heartbeat.!! If that is what it takes. The lust of this world is very powerful; don't ever underestimate it.

That said..Rom 13:8 owe nothing Prov 22:7 The rich rule over the poor. Matt 18:25 the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

By going into debt we withhold our own blessings. If you have not already come up with a get out of debt strategy. Do it. To make it right, the Lord will order everything you have to be sold to repay what you owe. If that is what it takes, I'll add that.!

Take a war like mentality where your family finances are concerned. Financial bondage can put you in divorce court, marriages break up every day because of it. Make joint decisions where your family finances are concerned. The devil is out to put you into slavery, and what is worse, God has said He will assist in selling out everything you have if that is what it takes to make sure that all your debts are repaid.

Financial pressures are the leading cause of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as sickness and even suicide. Now does that sound like part of the gospel of Christ ?

I believe that a very select few of God's people will listen to Him as He admonishes his people to get out of debt. But for those who will listen to Him I can hear him say right now " I will make an example of them ". Let God set you up as an example. For those in addiction to drugs God would say. Before I can bless you the way I should we need to erase your drug addition. In the same way, to a Christian in debt(which is MORE addictive than drugs) he is saying
the same thing.

Nothing personal here at all, a close personal family member of mine ( did I put that delicately enough ) ran up a large credit card bill that has MY family straddled with repayment right now. So it's in every household in some way shape or form. If nobody else listens to this it sure has done me a lot of good.. if nothing else than to remind myself that God wants me to at the bare minimum have a PLAN to get out of debt. If I don't have a plan then I couldn't be too serious could I about getting into His will where my finances are concerned.. In Christ.gregor

Well, with very few exceptions look at the flock that are better off than they need to be.

Would you really like to have God looking at what they do with their lives and reading it as yours? If so, then riches can be very good.

I have found that in my life all I have shown the Lord is that with money increasing I become as obsessed with making it increase more as JP Getty. There is no difference. His just kept increasing until he was not only wihtout spiritual hope, but like the equally tragic Huhges, probably walked in a numb empty void that kept him from enjoying a minute of it.

He didn't even love his own grandson, and with his billions, did not feel his grandson was worth l,000,000, I think. A horrible story.

That shows me something, in that bad parents, even, end up absolutely over the edge and nuts about their grandkids beyond the human explanation of why. I mean, they are just kids. But his was not worth any of his billions of excess on paper, while he was surrounded by hundreds of millions in possessions.

I would believe there are lessons around us. Open your eyes.

Bob, I sure didn't want to sound callous if you are indeed having bad problems. That can happen to good people who are living right, and if so, I am always upset to see it. I hope that's not happening.

Personally, I am so certain something very unpleasant is about to happen I have put money on the back burner. If something unpleasant is about to happen, we are no where near the millions and millions it will take to be without a care. And then I would not want to be that person without a care surrounded by 5,000,000,000 unhappy people who have cares. Bad odds. 5 1/2, actually.

That's all I was saying. That this seems to be a very strange time for planet earth, and seems to be on the brink once again of total social or enviromental cataclism. If you aren't feeling it, I am.

I saw a desperate documentary on Discovery today about the disappearing live things on earth. It is a run away train, and the speed of it is almost numbing to the mind. Three years ago there were 50 wild tigers in all of that little country next to India which escapes my mind right now. I want to say Punjab, but that's a city. Each tiger that gets killed makes the rest go up in value that much more to the insane Asians who want their body parts for this and that. I think that about everything in the wild is now countable in most places, except maybe the serrengetti plain in Africa. And I have seen very concerned people as the elephants are now countable.

It's just hard for me in the mood I'm in to care much more beyond pleasant surroundings and good food. That may soon be an absolute luxury, so enjoy it. THat's the way I'm feeling, and hope it wears off because we don't want me to be right, for sure.

Something is horribly wrong. The world is dying and no one notices or cares. This is insane. And what if we do find the air is hissing out of the huge and growing holes in the ozone? We have just cut down the last of the forests that manufactured all the air.

Perhaps the Lord would have us put our stock research time into prayer.

Dear Bob :

A family in my church just split up over financial problems; and a good friend of mine and his wife did the same.

Mike asked me what he should do?; his wife will support the children and he will be saddled with repayment of all debt. They took a consolidation loan out 2 years ago for 13K (bal on it down to 9K). But since they have run up 4 or 5K on additional credit cards.

His income is 30K, hers is 15K= total income of 45K. They don't drive a new car, have a modest double wide payment of 365.00, and have no savings, no investments, and have not taken a family vacation in years.

Honest to God; I just cannot see it ? I know they feel trapped and the amount of debt is by my estimation not staggering. They have two small children, and their church attendance is 'spotty'.

The couple that goes to my church never miss a service, her mother left her at least 10 low quality rental units; he has a job as a delivery man on a soft drink truck, and he settled a lawsuit for damages to his eye that left him 30 K richer about 2 years ago. ( I know where that money went, they bought a 4 wheel drive vehicle )

So you ask yourself how can it happen ? It happens every day ? And so so tragically...

I feel churches need to start financial freedom classes and start teaching people how to be better stewards of what God provides.

The other big temptation to families I know of has been extra marital affairs; as to marriage breakups.

It is smart to think that these two problems can hit anyone; and I personally feel it is worthy of daily prayer.

In Christ..gregor

Dear Bob:

II Cor. 3:5 Paul writes. The ministration of DEATH was glorious and engraved on stone so much so Moses 'veiled his face'.

Exodus 43:10 Lord said , behold I make a covenant before all thy people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth.

Exodus 34: 29" When Moses came down from the mount that Moses 'wist not' (wished not) that the skin of his face shone while he talked with HIM. (GOD ).

Why did Moses wish not that his face shone ?

One answer--- vs. 30 " when the children of Israel saw Moses behold the skin on his face shone and they were afraid to come nigh him."
vs. 30 put a veil on his face..vs 34 before Lord took off the veil came out put back on...vs 35 took off-- put back on....on off .on .off whats going on ??

We know only Aaron and his sons could go behind the veil of the tabernacle.

What one emotion will cause the veil to go up above all emotions; FEAR.

What entity is the most misunderstood entity in all creation...God right. When the veil goes up is it God veiling himself from us or we veiling ourselves from God. In effect WE VEIL GOD. We put the veil up in front of God's face. It is not God that initiates the veil. We initaite the veil. Was the veil of the tabernacle man made or God made. It was constructed by man's hands right. Was it God placing the veil in front of Moses face or did Moses do it. Moses did .

WHY WHY WHY the veil, even said today, just as true, why do we vail God.

gregor's answer...Mankind veils God to limit God in our attempts to take God on our terms rather than on His terms. No revelation is too personal for God. No secret or hidden meaning is too personal for God.

Does God desire that we behold his Glory, His Power, his Might, His Miracles, His Healings, His Abundance, His Dreams . Yes Yes Yes.

So why do we so often get hurt, pain, strife, anger, death, sin, and dirt.

No one more than God realizes how much we need Him. Do we therefore have to BEG PLEAD SOB CRY SHAKE for His blessings.

The answers are already provided, the solutions already spoken, the blessings already delivered, the wisdom already written, the meanings already interpreted, the pathways already laid out, the healings already pictured, the victory already won and the praises already lifted up to the throne room. Praise God..remove the veil all ye people and see that the Lord he is God. See what the Lord has done for you. See your future. See the fog lifted from the mountain. Look into the promised land. SEE SEE what the Lord had provided for your children and your grandchildren and a 1000 generations..

IN Christ.gregor
