so, the analyst reports this morning were upbeat - Soundview, H & Q, DMG, etc., saying things like "delivers consistent performance", " red-hot international", "well positioned for second half," etc. I only had these read to me over the phone, and they were supposed to be read in their entirety, so if there was any negative that I missed, not because of my "glasses". I'm told very solid conference call. I believe DMG raised their EPS estimates for this year by 4 cents, too.

I think that VNTV may have been slightly surprised by that.>> If VNTV was surprised by that then someone in the company wasn't doing their job. How could they have thought anything else would happen. If I remember correctly, I think it was even discussed here on SI. You say this as if it is a good excuse and provides some rationalization for a mediocre performance. It isn't a good excuse. One other point...in an earlier post you compare the software performance of vntv with clfy, rmdy and scop saying it's in line. I don't think these are the companies I'd necessarily use for my comparison. Not exactly a list of gorillas or gorilla candidates!! Melissa
