Yep ... stuck with me since I first saw it used by
Thedor H. Nelson in "Dream Machines/Computer Lib" ...
one of the most seminal computer books of the early 70's.

It has the highest vapor pressure of any book I've
ever measured ... beating the next highest (Knuth Vol 1.)
by more than 50%.

You measure the vapor pressure of a book by placing a
stack of the books in an accessible location central
to the "solvent" community ... you keep adding books
to the the stack until they stop disappearing ... vapor
pressure is #books/#people within the "container".

Many of us have, no doubt, carried out unintentional,
uncontrolled experiments in literature vapor pressure
without conclusive results.
