I think this is a strange reaction to a joint venture with a competitor. Mr. Softie can still wipe CHKPF off the map with the flick of a pen, if it wants. And the fact that a deal develops a bit more does not mean they are any less likely to. Happy Investing! Vanni

I had wished that the company could keep their mouths shut so that I can get more shares at lower price. Too bad they could not hold to Wednesday that used to the best day to say something before the "triple" Friday. I think MSFT made the right choice, so did CHKPF. They both will benefit from the deal. CheckPoint will provide MicroSoft the best security softwares for NT and the huge sales of NT, especially the coming NT5.0, will bring CHKPF $$$ with no worries at least for additional two years. No body can beat MSFT on system softwares and the same to CHKPF on security softwares.
