David, I think you may be right, but I think there may be an upturn in the last hour of trading today. There is a lot of buying pressure in the market. Would you buy back at 28 1/2 if you had the chance?

Happy Investing!

The shorts are getting out right now while the gettings good.
This stock is too oversold and can easily lure in strong buyers near the close today. So if your short you have a couple hours left to count your money.

and we'll drift back to 27 over the next few days. The shorts aren't done with this one yet, otherwise there would have been massive covering today and the stock would have gone straight up from the open.

Not likely. Not now. Re "the shorts": They're no different than "the longs". Both have to buy and sell to complete a trade. "The shorts" now in CHKPF, being those shorts that didn't cover when they had a chance, got burned today. The market will decide where the stock goes from here, not the shorts. I don't worry about gaps, either. Sometimes they get filled, sometimes not. Sometimes when gaps do get filled, it's months later, after a big bull run.
