If the DOJ doesn't stop Win98 from shipping, than they have wasted a huge amount of taxpayers dollars( whats new) and time. What, they are going to let Win98 go out for a few months, than demand that the icon be taken off after thousands are already shipped? Only lawyers and government can come up with something that idiotic.
But I forgot, this is the same government that is hammering tobacco companies for selling death while subsidizing tobacco farmers. Beam me up,there is no intellegent life here. Or to paraphrase an famous quote" When a politician dies, he becomes a statesman. Lord knows we need more statesmen."

"Obviously we are a minority"

So then I still don't understand your point. If the Minority (Probably less than 10%) still love their Win 3.1, who cares...
Who will convert:
Those who get it free from manufactures (upgrades)
Those who will spend the $90 for the chance to reduce problems, and increase speed.
Those who want some of the new features (FAT32, Dual Monitor...)

Bottom line its a cost of $25 a year for O/S costs... seems cheap.

Also count on The Shoppers Network to push it effectivly to "the great unwashed."
