This was an ignorant response....it was 5 bombs in 24 hours; hence 1 per 4.8 hours! When the world is trying to do the right thing in getting rid of nuclear bombs, don't you think it ignorant for them to defy the work of the word community? I certainly do.

***Off Topic***

krishna kashyap,

I did not wish to imply that India is a terrorist state nor to insult the Indian people. If anyone took it that way, please accept my apology. In fact as a musician, my respect for the music of India could not be any higher (I have studied tabla). IMHO it is the most sophisticated music in the world. My respect for the culture and society that formed it is the same. My opinions were directed only at those responsible for the decision to test. I respect that you may have a more informed view as to the threats against India. BTW, I am not unaware that they do exist. However, your arithmetic 'style' doesn't impress me. As far as math is concerned, I might ask you to stick to subjects you know. The time between Test 1 and Test 5 was less than 48 hours. Fact. Playing 'catch up' doesn't come into it.

India's unease re Pakistan/China does not give leave to perform excessive nuclear tests and expect to be 'understood' by the many nations that have renounced this unbelievably horrifying danger in our world.

Regards,
Bond

P.S. Come to think of it, you might want to take a stab at my taxes next year.
