Bob, you bot this one in margin, you have style! This is a stock backed by billions of assetts. This is indeed a great buying opportunity. I am in RN right now and will get some MO (in margin) first thing tomorrow. Hey, we'll ride this dog.

"I also read in the WSJ that tobacco cos will be prevented from advertising in Europe"

I can confirm this. The European parliament decided yesterday to prohibit advertising and sponsoring from the year 2007 on.
The irony here is that they support tobacco farmers in Greece with over 1 billion $ each year. The situation in Europe is a little bit different, because generally the outcome of such decisions will be very diluted. The German government was strictly against it. I would suspect that in the year 2007 the situation will be very different and less restrictive. You must know that formula 1 is sponsored mainly by the tobacco industry and that formula 1 is very popular in Europe. So I think the whole thing will be hot air in a few years. Also there was decision about increasing tax for cigarettes.

Regards Ralph!

Roberto,

<< I am not sure that will hurt MO too bad. Whenever, my Mom goes to Italy, they always beg her to pack some cartons of Marlboro's in her suitcase :-) They love our cigarette's over there. I don't think they really need too much advertising, IMO. >>

I think the crave to smoke the U.S. Marlboros's is because in Europe, normally these are manufactured under license from PM, so they still taste not quite like the very original. The originals are a lot cooler :-)

MO has a big factory here in Switzerland, and the Marlboro's you buy here in Zurich all are from this Swiss plant.
