A psychiatry resident, as part of his training, was told to walk down a narrow corridor with cages on both sides. About halfway down it, a huge lion jumped from inside the cage to the bars close to the shrink, and emitted a huge sound from his vocal chords while snarling with huge, sharp teeth.

The shrink-in-training ran the rest of the way down the corridor and said to the head shrink who was waiting for him at the end, "What the hell was that all about?"

"Well, your training as a resident would not be complete until you completed a roar-shock test."
