I can't answer questions on Joe. Regarding book value you may be seeing several things at play. First the large short position reported by macker. Second the unknowns on the deal (it has not even been formally announced and we do not know the details yet). Third the idea that not all companies trade at 1X book. If, however, ME is for real and is a real player, IMHO 1X book may not be far off. Any other opinions on this issue?

(BTW, I would also be happy w/ 0.5X book - happier yet w/ 2X - LOL)

Eric

re: "A lot of folks are relying on information from Joe Gort while others believe this guy is a slime ball. Who is he and why can be trusted?"

You have to go back a ways. I've been in ICVI since Sept. 1997 when I bought at $.165 on Gort's word that ICVI's gambling ship would be making her maiden voyage on October 1. This was the first of many lies - the ship sailed twice in late October and never sailed again for ICVI. While it had been repossessed and sailing for its owner (the ship, "The Stardancer" was on lease to a "partner") Gort said it had mechanical difficulties and would be back "next week". It never came back.

Going back to previous posts, before I got involved, you'll see countless other deceptions and lies. More recently, the convenience store deals have failed to materialize, as have the deals with Gold's Gym.

Now the date of the press release is moved to Thursday. Didn't Joe Gort tell us it would be today? On Thursday I wouldn't be surprised if it was postponed to "next week", and after that then --- well, "We thought we had a deal".

ICVI's website claims ICVI is owner of three convenience stores. This is another lie.

I'm not saying there is no merger. I'm only saying that Gort's assurances just might turn out to be, again, worthless.
