Michelle,
FWIW, I think that manu's problems stem from the fact that they failed to manage earnings. They reported a blowout last quarter and now will be reporting a loss. I think this is indicative more of a management problem than anything. I can't understand why a company would do this when they should know that the first quarter is not typically your strongest quarter.

I don't know if they had a sales reorg or just hired a ton of new people. But they should have thought about this when they reported last quarter. This reminds me of orcl's quarter last fall when they had the problems due to their sales reorg. Unfortunately, I don't think the problems at manu are helping any of the software companies right now.

I read something somewhere where they listed all the reasons for this but I still think it comes down to very poor management. They should have known better and held some of last quarter's revenue back or created some expense reserves. In any case they messed up big time.
Melissa

Have you heard of Paragon Management System? They want to play in the same supply chain area. Any thoughts on them?
