Jack, Jerry Brown is complicated, and enigmatic. I am not sure why anyone is making fun of the fact that he chose a Plymouth as his vehicle when he was governor, because he simply wanted an inexpensive vehicle. He is not very much about showy, egotistical uses of power. And I also think it is unfair to judge anyone right now based on events of twenty or thirty years ago, in different political climates. Brown is not even a registered Democrat at the moment. Another very ethical thing about him is that he has limited campaign contributions to $100 per person. He is WAY ahead in the Oakland mayoral race, incidentally. You may or may not agree with his ideas after you have been exposed to them, but here is a list of position papers, interviews, etc. so that you can at least make that determination yourself. I am attracted to the very radical about him--that place where the right and the left meet sometimes, where both of us occasionally hang out!! wtp.org
