Barry the K6-300 is selling for $156 today!!!

I don't understand how you can believe that Intel would get smart enough to lower the price on a more advanced Celeron 400/100 in a timely fashion to compete with what is already out there at the low end from AMD.

==============
I just mention this price example to show the problems Intel has and not to discuss AMD.

<The Celeron at 266/66 MHz might be a dud, but at 350/100 or 400/100 MHz, its most processor you can buy for $150 (soon to be more like $100).>

Perhaps it's will be the most, all round, processor you can buy for
$150, but shouldn't we be thinking in terms of CPU segments now? I
I just watched a streaming video of AMD's K6-2 product launch. I
think they will soon have the gaming market in their pocket - and
from there attack the entertainment and communications segments.

If anyone can take a few minutes to watch the video (at AMD's web
site) let me know what you think.
