Greg and Scott,
It sounds like your discourse breaks down to : Buy value and hold; or, Buy value until you find a greater bang for your buck, then switch to avoid dead money. At least you both thought you were buying value, which I thought I did too. So, you've both given me comfort in that sense. Dead money is just that, IF, you are guessing correctly on when TRIBY will move. Since I hate to engage in market timing, due to a proven poor track record at it, I'm sticking with the Buffet approach. Bill

re: thoughts on sitting on probable dead money for months, years

One more time: Buy value and HOLD!!!

I would be happy to see the market close here for a few years. Would you??

With today's market valuations, TRIBY looks to be under-valued. But the market is at record valuation, so 3 years kinda scares me. A couple of nasty trigger events should be be here in around 6 months.

(1) East Asia, and now South Asia is a big mess. Round 3 of the Asian melt-down (we're in the 2nd round now) could potentially crash our markets. Specifically, this would be the derivative fallout to our major banks and brokerage houses. Potentially like what happened to Orange County CA when Mexico had problems, only on a much larger scale.

(2) Public acknowledgement of serious Y2K problems in things like the FAA Air Traffic Control System could also potentially crash our markets. Watch the GAO for this statement.

Actually, I would be very happy to see the market close here in a few years, but for very different reasons.

Go TRIBY.
