VLAD

Glad you took the time to trudge thur the muck on YaHoo to find this ray of hope!

It is my belief that come Wednesday the fundies that are heavily hedged are all going to race for the door to cover. If this is the case expect a very large gap up and a gap filling to 20+ in a day or two (this information is much more significant than when Vivus got an upgrade by CRUT and we shot up over 80% in 2 trading days).

Dare we hope?

Thanks Vlad,
E'Lane

Now for my own comments.

OK everyone, we have been repeatedly raped and plundered by the greedy shorts and it is high time to teach them a good lesson.

I would suggest that between now and the opening bell tomorrow that we all e-mail or call CNBC to see if they can report on Vivus and the last bit of news after the bell. Perhaps we can have a double wammy effect here: 1)People buying the crap out of Vivus stock ala the "ICOS effect" and 2)The short interest racing for the door to cover their asses (and the longs NOT SELLING AND MAKING THEM COVER AT WHATEVER PRICE THE MARKET DICTATES).

Now quit all your belly aching and do something!

Is it possible that the high open interest in June calls with strike prices of $30.00/share and above has something to do with this???

Vlad, we ARE dealing with a one product company. So what if Vivus announced development of a pill. It could be years before that sees the light of day. The only reason I still hold this stock is because I can't imagine it getting any worse than right after the Viagra launch.

Rather than blasting that money on a new factory, VIVUS should have battened down the hatches and weathered the storm with their original production. THEN, if script numbers improved, build the factory. Don't you love hindsight?

Has anyone considered the possibility that MUSE DOESN'T WORK?

biz.yahoo.com

Clutching at straws to think VVUS will spike up tomorrow. TO $20? I mean really, now......when they presented at the conference it was to say that MUSE was SAFE, not that MUSE worked better.

>>''For a variety of possible reasons efficacy in a controlled clinical trial has not translated into clinical usefulness of the
MUSE system for the majority of our patients suffering from erectile dysfunction,'' Dr. Pat Fulgham wrote in a presentation made at the American Urological Association's annual meeting in San Diego.

Fulgham, of the Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, told reporters on a conference call that only 27 percent of patients in his study achieved sufficient erections for sexual intercourse despite higher doses.<<

Unless he is a secret operative in the pay of Pfizer, this report from Fulgham is deadly.

This is what we're clinging to?

>>Yntema said Vivus is working on additional treatments for erectile dysfunction, including its own pill.
The company also hopes to develop treatments for incontinence and sexual dysfunction, including
premature ejaculation. >>

This statement is going to slingshot VVUS to $20? There's a reason that post came from the Yahoo! thread...
