><>...He is my refuge...><>

Ps 91:1-7
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

><>...Behold and see the reward of the wicked...><>

Ps 91:8-16

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

What a load of propaganda, Shalom. If Jesus were here now, I am very sure he would be leading the environmentalists in saving this planet and its creatures. I find it very, very strange that anyone who REALLY believed in God would stand aside spouting absurdities about socialism while all His creations are being destroyed, one by one. You keep talking about Satan, but the environmentalists love and revere life and want to protect it.

Isn't there something in the Bible about "By their actions, ye shall know them?" God's light shines on those who cherish the earth and its animals.

With all due respect, your comments are uncalled for and wrong.

You continually like to mix religion and politics, as if Jesus were a political figure on todays scene. You also seem to think that Jesus would be right wing conservative, which is very funny, since most people would place his teachings as very liberal in the context of his era.

Your generalizations of "left-leaning, new age, socialists and tree huggers" is as erroneous as it is offensive. If I had said something
as intolerant as that about Jews for Jesus, or christians in general, you would be livid.

If you would like todiscuss politics, that is fine, and I am willing.
Please realize that your politics are probably not germane to this discussion, however.

Mark

Shalom,

It is good to hear from you again. I missed you posts. Hope you are back for a while.

It is always interesting the fight you get when you mention "environment". Folks can always justify death by abortion but mention clubbing a seal and see what kind of reaction you get. I bet I will get accused of doing that now that I mentioned it.

Oh well the accuser will be here until Jesus comes again then I think there will be some "ready" to abandon ship......

God Bless you with all your hearts desires........

Shalom,

How have you been?

You wrote, "You know as well as I do that their tree loving and whale saving compassionate campaign, is limited to their personal political socialist platforms."

You know I am no socialist, neither am I an environmentalist (which is political as you say). But the science of ecology is rational and there is no harm in trying to save a species, especially if that species exhibits intelligence, such as porpoises and whales.

You have your own political ax to grind with christianity. I am, frankly, against most politics, and would rather that reason and rationality rule the day.

The bottom line is that mysticism and force go hand-in-hand. Both are ultimately enemies to rational thought and true liberty.
