Perhaps if these long term picks (the last couple) weren't prefaced by several comments about "it's coming", they wouldn't run up so quickly. There was a great deal of anticipation about the NBET pick that had people sitting with fingers on the trigger. If people like BigDog, etc. had good long term picks why not just put it out without the prior notices, does this make sense?
I did not get in on these last two for just that reason. It makes absolutely no sense to me to jump on a stock no matter how good the company or DD when hundreds of others are sitting there with their fingers on the triggers at the same time, this is Investing "Russian Roulette" style.
While I think the coming pick by Copia sounds like he is trying something different, it is still the same idea. There will be MANY people all buying at the same time. It does not make sense to me to be in that game. However, if, out of the blue with no advance warning, Copia, BIg Dog or anyone who Does good DD and doesn't hype said "here is a good stock, check it out" it would not be trounced on but instead be slowly looked at and bought.
If you ask me its the sudden "hit" on these stocks that creates what you all call "Market Maker" games.
I still ask, Don't Market makers make money by "Making a Market" in a stock? The difference in the spread? Doesn't matter the price.

Just my thoughts

You are so right, which is why so many have gone to private chat and mIRC.

I have chat on my website and some of us are there now.

Real sorry to butt in here MG, but just can't help it, and if you don't like what I say then trash it and move on, but why not read, and listen, and get another opinion.

Overall thoughts to your post, crapolla!

If you are a believer in a company, it's products, it's future, and are, or going to be, a long term holder, then who gives a shit about what is said on SI, or for that matter, what happens with the stock price, day to day, or intraday. If you are going to move from day trader to investor, then start to think like an investor. So what if someone, anyone, starts to hype a stock? You say they do (ie. hype it) and it dies, bullmatwangie, if they got the goods it will recover If they don't got the goods, then long run it dies, period, and as a savvy guy you are already long gone.

<but those who want to play some longer games, need privacy and solidarity.>

Bull! The exact opposite is true! The longer games are going to depend on truth, everything out in the open, and no BS and daytrader hype!

Please do not take any of this the wrong way, I am not attacking you, just trying to get your thinking straight in my head, and so far it ain't workin' so I gotta ask, and question. If we disagree, then we disagree, and if you want to discuss it further PM or email me and I'll give you a phone number. One thing I ain't is anonymous, nor do I want to make any enemies, just wanna make some $$, helps to keep score!

<but we need a private forum for the longs...>

Why? Please, and I am dead serious, why would you need a private forum for the longs? Educate me here, for I am but a neophyte to keeping secret,,,, that which is good. If I have good DD, I share it. If you know of a good reason that I should keep good , solid DD, secret, please let me know, and I will go back to school at your feet...

TIA, and best regards,

Jim

Guitarzan,

Like I said to you on the NTN thread. You need a place to hide so that people can't keep track of your real record of stock promoting.

Just picking trash stocks with no SEC filings, or where it's hard to even find charts, isn't working anymore.

NBET, NTN, TEXN, MDIX. My God what an awful bunch.

Plus then the threats by someone like, was it TMEX(?), to expose all the "ugly secrets", will be harder to accomplish.

I recommend a list of board members who haven't kept track of the picks, and who swallow the blaming of Market Makers, and the other excuses, and just move to private messages or E-mail.

The problem then is that you will lose the mass audience you want to perform for.

But you can always find new boards and new ID's.

As I recommended at NTN "TUNEBOY" or "HENDRICKSWANNABEE" will probably be enough to hide who you are from the audience you tend to attract.

Your cohorts could take names like LOSE1ST, BOOB (well, is their a more descriptive one than that?), and BIG-DOGS-R-US.

Or you could just use a bunch of different ID's like you're doing now to promote penny stocks!

Got to keep that paycheck coming in somehow!
