RAM or CPU speed?

Tough call. You could probably get by with 64 MB RAM in Win98. Apply the savings to the CPU and opt for the PII 333. Add RAM later as required.

Looks like Matrox G200 is all packaged
and ready to sell.

Would you go with the Millenium or Mystique?
No difference in cost. I don't quite understand
the difference between the two.

Concerning the Mystique 220, what is the difference
between the 2 and 4 MB board? This is the first time
I've seen this option.

Zeus,

Dell uses a ATX cases. nothing in their dimension series is proprietary. I personally recommend them gateway or micron to 95% of my friends and customers. building your own has far too many disadvanates for novice to intermediate and business users. Downtime in case of hardware failure is a key feature where build your own can leave you stranded. All three of these vendors produce reliable boxes that I have sold hundreds of and generally the support and service is good. As always there are exceptions and occasionally one of my customers my get the run around but that is not often. more on this later. I should probably share my whole philosophy of why you should buy from a major vendor. HP builds great boxes too but they are defintely more expensive.
