GM: I guess that's what makes this stock so volatile. Two smart people are following the stock and industry very closely, thinking about it a lot, have access to the same info., and come to wildly different conclusions. I consider 60 as totally outside the realm of possibility. If scenario A happens, we may approach 40 again this year. If scenario B happens, we'll have several false rallies, probably peaking at 32 or so, and then another stair-step down like we had at the end of May. I don't see anything else remotely possible. Whichever scenario happens, if AMAT hits 60 later this year, I will short the industry with every penny I have.

GM,

Re: Price peaks for '98

I think at this point my price of 55? 60? is/was optimistic. I definitely believe we'll see 40+ before the year is out, but the real momentum price-wise will IMO come next year and not this year. Are you going to revise the predictions?
