I used to work with a nice lady whose maiden name was Rolls. Her parents named their bouncing baby girl......no joke.....Royce. But she grew up with a wonderful sense of humor!

Yeah, but we get "John" and "Crap" from John Crapper's name, so that's not so surprising.

How about the famous football player, Dick Butkus (sounds like Butt Kiss)? You'd have to be tough with that name.

Also heard about a woman , last name Gold, whose parents named her Truly. Yep, Truly Gold. She grew up and married a man with the last name Boring. Truly Boring. She must have really loved him. This may be urban legend, but I swear my sources seemed reliable.

I don't believe "crapper" had that connotation before he made the flush toilet.
