Yes, thanks, but I already knew that - that the list was a list of the market makers.

It was this part of John's post that I thought was a good idea to find out about:

If one of the MM's is connected through the VSE, then I think I'll have my answer...

I don't know at this time if any of those mm's on the list are connected through the VSE. You mentioned that "several on the list have close ties to the trading desks of major Canadian brokers". How about telling us which ones?

Sorry to have strained YOUR limits of credulity, however, I did not have any idea who the MM's were for NTAH...The list you posted was posted before, then anyone re-posted the other night..I looked at it sometime after midnight, I believe, I could be wrong, and quite frankly knew it was a group of MM's, but for what I wasn't sure...Thank you at least for that input.....I will investigate this week the CA. Connection, for want of a better description, and press the NASD and SEC to change regs re: 1. Shorting of non-marginable securities thru foreign exchanges, by the public, and 2. The reporting of short interest on the OTC-BB as a matter of course, just as I believe it should be....If we TRULY want a level playing field, then I think these actions should be taken....I have no problem with shorting as trading strategy, I have stated before, it is perfectly legitimate...My preference, is not to engage in it...I DO object however, to others, being ABLE to do what I can't, simply because they live outside the US, on exchanges that ARE US based......I also believe, I am entitled to know the "short interest" on ANY publicly traded stock...I will say this, in CA. where you can short these stocks, the exchanges ALSO provide short interest as a matter of course...Here where you cannot short non-marginable securities, they don't, or at least they don't on the BB....Perhaps under some naive assumption, that since you can't, it doesn't matter much..Except as we have seen, IT MATTERS quite a bit.....Peace
