The best trade, sometimes, is no trade at all..... That was #4 on my dad's list ...... gggg I observe many different types of traders here on SI, as well as traders in my own little corner of the world in rural NE Tx. I've also been to the race track many many many times and observe the "traders" there. I've never known a local trader who takes the brokers advice and makes as much money as the broker does....... longer term investing , which basically negates the commission, changes these results however--- especially in this long running bull. I've never known a "trader" at the track who bets every race and wins over an extended period of time and I've never known one who buys tip sheets and bets the touts picks to make money over a period of time. Not betting every race is a key which has a home in the rules of all known to me long time winners ........ I didn't mean to get on a soap box with this ........ sorry....... Your weekly goals fit into your schedule because you trade/observe/watch the market on a daily basis. Mine is different to the extent that I won't trade unless I can spend most of the day at the computer. My normal OEX trade is less than a 3 point move and spans less than an hour. Some days when I'm ready ---- the market isn't and I won't force a trade, just as you don't either. Come to think of it ----- think I'll go to the track later this week ----- ROI for me is good there ........ I'm a cheeeeeppppppooooooo bettor but the accuracy is pretty good....... ggggg
