One broker tried to explain that to me, I am confused about that.
but stopped short and said they go with the EX-Date. And if the shares are (paid out) on EX-Date, then whats the point of payable date???

Jim, it could be wrong but the folks at Sure Trade told me the SOR date applies only to dividends and not to splits. He did say he could not find any news today and had not been notified by the transfer agent yet.

He indicated that any share purchased at the higher price before the split would qualify for the additional share.

Confused, :o) just a little. Guess I will wait and see what shows up in my account.
