Anyonw checks insider sellings except one at 100K shares last week? Insiders have to file first before selling or have a window of time? They put more ads to squeeze the weak/early shorts and pump the stock up. They are happy to sell stocks then books now. No incentive to succeed if they sell most of their stocks.
Not good in TA but except long term all short term indicators for amzn are weak. The stock price is so expensive now for another trip up (I think).

I'm reading on this thread that many cannot short due to absence of shares to short. I was going to cover in the next day or two (to be out over the weekend) and reshort on Monday. I am beginning to rethink that. I may not be able to reshort on Monday due to no shares to short?????? What do you think?(So probably I should just hold for the under 100 drop I've been waiting for.)

Agree with your analysis on macroec, industry fundamentals, bus. media attention span, and need to put money at work (to be honest, i don't really believe in or understand too well TA, so I tend not to comment on it one way or another). I've been slowly unboxing ... waited for it to settle a little, which, yes, is painful thinking what ifs (from 143 to 105 is a long way) but safer and happier this way. Momentum could come back with small float, but if YHOO, mother of all internet stocks, which actually has earnings and beat estimates, ends the day, faces downgrades across the board, then yes
1. internet momo is stalled or collapsing in general
2. analysts may start to pay more attention to the companies and actually analyze them, ie amzn is not an internet company, any more than ALCOA is a soup maker (just because it provides cans to campbells)
