Yousef - Re: " please give some details on the Source-Drain technology ... Is this "halo" implants, raised S/D's or something else"

I believe Intel was working on EPI raised Source-Drain technology - perhaps you have more up to date information?

Yousef I've been reading the AMD threads on the SI for over a year now and it seems you are one of the few constants. I havn't posted since I don't really understand the technical side of things.

What I'm wondering is how sure are you that AMD will wind up in bankruptcy? You have on occasion expressed admiration for AMD employees and given the fact that you follow the companies products so closely I have to believe that you think they have some potential.

Part of the reason I invested in AMD is the fact that I do not believe making chips is a natural monopoly, but the barriers to entry are high; I never expected them to beat Intel and just hoped that they could take a piece of the pie and earn a good return like they used to earn on the 386 and 486 chips.

You have completely convinced me that AMD is not in Intel's league, but as an AMD investor who is thinking about selling I would greatly appreciate your comments on whether or not AMD has any potential. I think you do.

Yousef, I was thinking about buying some AMD? But, after reading some of the comments, no. I did look at price charts and see that it really has not established a good base as yet IMO? I'll keep watching for awhile. Why, the talk about bankruptcy?
