IQ,
Thanks for that wonderfully vivid description of Paris.I have been there, seen it on the news...yet somehow your version was better than what the eye can see through the media. My daughter has turned me into a quasi soccer fan and we have followed the games.
Enjoy!!!
Regards,
Barbara

Thanks Ike for giving us a bit of Paris ambiance.
Here in Washington our French Ambassador invited us to watch the
games live on big screen; first as we played against the Italians, then for the semi final and of course for the final! The Embassy auditorium which holds 350 seats was absolutely packed.

Les fran‡ais de Washington ‚taient en liesse!

I have never seen something like this. Needless to say that on Monday many had
lost their voice!!

Ike, it is always a pleasure to read this thread.

HAPPY 14 Juillet!

Best regards

Monique

Thank you Ike for your comprehensive and enthusiastic words. Yes it was a very reasonable victory. The third goal with ten french players left, was really a pain for Brazil ;-))

I can (virtually) see your sparkling eyes watching the actions on 'Bastide' day. Liberte, egalite, fraternite !!

Greetings from your German neighbor, 700 miles from the east.
