Very well put- the help manuals on-line are quite extensive.

Richard,

FYI...

Its actually I bug that Dick or Clark reported and Gary had already fixed. If he had loaded the patch he would have not had that problem I believe. There are actually two names stored in the metastock file....

Richard:

We live in a world that seeks instant gratification with little effort.

Thus it was ever so. One of my fav quotes (from Tom Edison): "A lot of people do not recognize opportunity because it usually goes around wearing overalls, looking like hard work."

In life, I've come to realize that there are 2 gross groupings of people. Those who read the manual (whether for a computer or a toaster) and those who plug the item in and start pushing buttons.

I guess I'm a reader and a slow learner at that. (Though I've had a few 'puter problems of late too.) I've had QP2 now for three weeks and have yet to really use its power. Been reading 2+ years of threads and my head is stuffed. Only then can one appreciate the time, patience and generosity of certain posters. Thanks Richard (do you still use Dahl's?), g, Brooke and so many others.

I'm afraid to upgrade! I've been using R1 for over two years, and I really don't want to give it up.

I realize that R2 provides earlier data, more years of data, funds, etc. But I'm *really* happy with R1. I especially dread rewriting scans to the new format.

Am I overreacting? Are my fears groundless? Will the R1 data be cut off soon? Some answers, please.
