I 'd like to see the full text of these new rules. Does the 5 minute rule still exist??...100 share partial fill every 5 minutes? Why bother using SOES at all?..NASDAQ is just creating more need for ECN's. Soon MM's will be in the minority as ECN orders will dominate more and more of the less active issues. Have you ever watched a high volume stock on the move?...do you ever see a MM?...NOPE!...I think they'll have to change the name from MM to something else cus they they sure aren't making markets! Oops actually I am wrong..they love making markets in low volume stocks with big wide spreads...gee I wonder why that is?;)

Steve, do you know of any online trading firm that offers unlimited trades for a fixed monthly charge? If there isn't one, I wonder what you think of such a concept? Regards, Tom

So Long SOES, Been Nice Knowing You........ok now to preference the MM through Selectnet.... waiting...waiting..oh isn't that nice the MM with 5k bid disappeared from the bid after ...oh... say 90 seconds ...without..of course... filling my order....well guess will hit the island order 1/8 below...oops! now that the market has seen the that MM pull the 5k bid and the island bid orders are quickly being cancelled or hit with all the other traders who didn't get filled...well guess I'll offer some stock on the offer ...I am sure that was the end of the profit takers...oops! guess I was wrong...now the market is free falling and no MM's in sight...hey there's a MM!...ok now I'll preference him....HOORAY!..he filled me!...oops!...now the stock is being bid up ..there it goes right back to where I originally wanted to sell it...boy I love this trading game...I wonder when I'll be able to bid for stock and reject any fills for 90 seconds? that would be great!...then I could watch to see if the market is getting weak and pull my order before it gets filled....yup that would be great!.......................................wouldn't it?
