As a newcomer to this thread I guess I was unaware just how seriously you folks take this subject.If I worked in the industry I probably would have a better grasp as it is I'm hoping to expand my horizons a
bit.Thank you for your response. I sincerely hope that your pessimism
isn't justified. Speaking just of the ozone hole what do you consider
the risk to mankind.Do you think skin cancer is the worst or do you see danger to the whole foodchain.

Let's say our Ozone layer is a great big super big balloon. Filled with breathable air. It has holes in it. Hissssssssssssssssssssss.

I guess we could say that the ozone layer is a super balloon. But we'd be wrong. It's not the ozone layer that keeps the air around the Earth. It's GRAVITY. You know.. the same force that holds down the water and the people. In fact it's gravity that also holds the ozone layer around the earth.
