If my words did glow
with the gold of sunshine
and my tunes were played
on the harp unstrung
would you hear my voice
come through the music
would you hold it near
as it were your own?

It's a hand me down
The thoughts are broken
Perhaps they're better
left unsung
I don't know
Don't really care
Let there be songs
to fill the air

Ripple in still water
when there is no pebble tossed
nor wind to blow

Reach out your hand
if your cup be empty
If your cup is full
may it be again
Let it be known
there is a fountain
that was not made
by the hands of men

And there's a road
no simple highway
between the dawn
and the dark of night
If you go
no one may follow
That path is for
your steps alone

Ripple in still water
when there is no pebble tossed
nor wind to blow

You who choose
to lead must follow
but if you fall
you fall all alone
If you should stand
who's to guide you?
If I knew the way
I would take you home

George,
I'm not sure why you're saddened by Sam's posts, but I've really enjoyed them. I think Sam has a lot to add to this discussion, and has done it well.

Craig

To answer your question re protest too much, IMHO I think there is not enough protest for the havoc brought on by this false teaching. When it is said in so many repetitions over the years it becomes brainwashing to the uninformed. It has caused more brutality and deaths than all the wars of history.

It tends to take responsibility from self actions and place on an it's O.K. basis, cause if you are a Christian, God will forgive you.
It places the litle spark of God in us way out of reach in a far off Heaven and puts the guilty conscience off on a Devil God here on earth.

If you will check back on my posts for the past week you will see the
survey results of Christianity. I am a firm believer in philosophy and right living. Religion is a form of philosphy and each of us have the ability to search for truth. However, truth is a relative thing. It depends on knowing all facts. Christianity is a semantic word used loosely in many ways. It claims to be facts when it is nothing but myth used by the sages of old to teach. The Roman Catholic Church (from which it branches out) historicized these myths as actual facts. It was done to create a new religion by the state to promulgate slavery and unfair taxation.

I have found that if you make a person angry enough, he will go to all lengths to prove himself right. In the search for proof there is usually a new awakening if it is thoroughly done. If I can cause just one person to find real truth in himself it makes it all worth while.

Hopefully this will partially answer why "I Cant let it be." If you think yourself bewildered I am more so. We each have our own path in creating our lives and should not force our beliefs on others thru fear or slavery.

Ignorance is the only thing we should fear. If we want a better tomorrow we must start creating it today. We can't wait for God to take care of it after death. If we want to have caring, loving surroundings we must be caring and loving.

If my posts offend you just hit next on your browser. I realize I could do this with Emile and his ilk from the "Ask God" thread. This thread for talk about our feelings, not religion. Then the proselyters move in with their falsehood and ruin a good thing.

Glimpsing back at the dividing path
silent voice gently nudging
hermaprhodite rudely pushing
away from light to darkened wrath

Humble thoughts of the valley
crushed by the dark sun's voice
feet moving without choice
away from Son to dillydally

Darkness caressing the mind
inner voice drowned by loud pride
he hurries down dome's ride
bottomless pits where Son doesn't shine

silent voice whispering...........
