optionfan, i am in some sept60 calls, and considering some dec65s. on the day of the earnings announcement, there was something like 8000+ volume on the Dec65s.

I think that with final approval of the merger (Aug?), there will be a new surge in the price. We may see forward looking plans and news announced after the merger is finally approved. I don't have any basis for saying this except the overall aggressive, bold leadership of WCOM, and the lifting of restrictions on what the company can talk about while the merger is pending.

I also wonder what people on this thread think about the market in general. I think we should see another short term upturn on mon-wed, but the uptrend certainly has not established itself. Pretty big move down last week, mainly on Greenspan and Asian worries; but overall fundamentals are still great. What do you think?
