Why would there be no news of this? Aren't companies supposed to inform investors of changes such as this??

WebFiler Development Group, 'a former business unit of Alpha and SoftQuad'?

If you go way back in this thread there was some major discussion about this on Feb 19, 1998 re some kind of rumour that Webfiler development ended.

Could this have been in the works as far back as then? If so, isn't there some sort of responsibility of SWEBF to have reported it back then? I don't know if that is the case or not, but it makes my concern over how the current management operates more tangible.

Arggh.

Peter R. Mesnik

Mr. Mesnik joined Alpha Software in 1991 as a software designer and documentation
manager for Alpha Five Version 1.0. Subsequently, Mr. Mesnik served as the Product
Manager for Alpha Five Version 2.0, Senior Product Manager for Complete Home Suite,
KidSecure, and NetMailer, and Director of Product Management for the Alpha Software

to create the middleware framework upon which the WebFiler product line is built. This
technology eventually became the basis for the acquisition of Alpha Software by SoftQuad
International. Prior to joining Alpha, Mr. Mesnik was part of a software start-up named Within
Technologies of Mt. Laurel, NJ, the developer of Realizer - a "Visual Basic-like" Windows
development environment which was later sold to Computer Associates.
