re: <<perception and confidence factor>>

3 most of what the man said can be summed in the above snip from is post. This kind of negative thinking always comes out when the market goes down like it is. It's always something, could be anything that us investor point to for the cause of the drop since perceptions is the market. I base my faith on the free market system, and the fact that we are living in one of the most promising times, in the greatest country on the planet. The problems that man was stating will pass just as others have. I have seen it and I know you have seen it.

Bachman, unfortunately your comments resonate with truth. Our country, once a bastion of democratic stability, is being held hostage by people who sneer at the idea of representative democracy. I did not vote for Clinton. But I support his right to the presidency. If the forces of reaction are successful in destroying this man, all of us, regardless of political affiliation, have lost. We have allowed the likes of Scaife to nullify a national election.

Bachman, I agree that the world sees our government as increasingly unreliable and unstable, but I'd like to state that I don't believe that Ken Starr is the problem here.

If the President's going to go down, the deck is already stacked, and there's nothing that we can do about it.

Personally, in a pragmatic sense, I hope that he escapes impeachment in order to save the country from almost certain crisis, and the pending Al Gore presidency.

Personally, from a principled perspective, I think if he did obstruct justice or suborn perjury, he should leave office.

Thanks for your post. It is not a laughing matter, and I have no intention of trying to make it so again.

Regards,

LoD
