David,

This is my opinion, expressed better than I could have:

Message 3547603

I have gone back and forth on the issue. I understand the benefits. Perhaps the benefits slightly outweigh the detriments, I don't know. When it comes down to it, there are a lot of great features that have yet to be added to SI. We enjoy implementing positive and happy features, and not the negative ones. I can't justify working on "ignore" functionality before we've enhanced the search engine, added functionality to personal profiles, created a "people search", etc...

So it's going to be a while, and only as a last resort....

So there you have it. Maybe if enough people request it, they will make it so. The feature is available at Raging Bull, and while I haven't used it yet, I appreciate the fact that it is available. Maybe we should start a "Ignore Feature" thread to gauge "paying customers" feelings on the issue. It's plain from their response that SI doesn't care if we want it or not, they are in no hurry to accommodate their customers would like the option of an "ignore" feature.

Your feelings, please.
