What will happen to Monica's immunity deal now it appears she purjures about the source of the talking points? Prosecutors probably have evidence contrary to her claims.

How come you don't dis mafia informants with audiotapes? Or LBJ. How about John Dean? Or that guy at Texaco with the tape recorder in the Board room. Heck, we don't even know his name.

It's clear that the difference with Linda Tripp is that she has big-time evidence against a liberal White House. She's just on the wrong side of the political fence from the media. If the tables were reversed - with a Republican President - you know she'd be hailed as heroic.

Lazarre: Given the way in which the Clinton WH has dealt with other detractors, I think Ms. Tripp's actions were both reasonable and prudent. I would not generally propose that secretly taping conversations is something we should all do, however, having seen what happened to Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey and other detractors, I think she made a wise choice.
