I think the FTC would have big problems with TLC buying out the Knowledge Adventure line. As the sales numbers you posted indicate, TLC and Cendant dominate the edutainment lines. I can't see regulators letting TLC grab up its prime competitor (especially at a bargain price). Of course, it would depend somewhat on how the relevant market is defined, i.e. whether games (ie ERTS or even Nintendo and Sega) compete with edutainment titles, but if TLC made an offer, I would expect some rough sailing in Washington. BTW, I am a big fan of Knowledge Adventure titles. Tho I invest in TLC/Brod, when I'm shopping I go straight for the Jumpstart titles for my kids.
