jlallen,
I hope Starr is not about to "win the battle but lose the war". Clinton testifying with counsel present is not good. The next thing we hear, counsel will be answering the questions for him, or advising him on how to answer during the process.

JLA,

I'm getting awfully tired trying to help you understand what's really going on:

<<<What is Starr thinking? He should have stuck to his
guns and made Clinton testify without counsel in front of the grand jury.>>>

It's not what the President says or does not say; its just the act of issuing the subpoena and forcing him to say something--for Starr, anything will do at this point; Clinton can read yesterday's baseball scores for all Starr cares. That is, and will be,Starr's only victory. Short term, a political one; mid term, that victory will ring hollow and long term it will have proved most dangerous.
