>>"The way it was originally set-up was you had to be a PROPERTY OWNER to vote. Perhaps we should return to that!"<<

Yes we should FT.......the sooner the better.
Most hard working, intelligent people own property by age 40.
Those who don't are most likely some form of parasite.

Yeah, Terry:

That's the idea!

Male, Caucasian, Landed!

"...He crowned thy good (white, propertied males) with brotherhood (white, propertied males) from sea to shining sea!!!"

X like this makes me seriously sick to the Xing stomach.

It resurrects a many-months-old word of mine - which was bandied about on this thread: DISDAIN!

And, don't tell me to cool down. I am not steamed. I am simply Xed-off. You scare and disgust the X out of me! g

Father Terrence,

I'm sure the founding fathers were onto something - I was just looking for a modern day equivalent, since property is a little harder to come by these days, especially here in the SF Bay Area. I would like to ensure that a voter is a contributing member of society. I see no logical reason why the mere attainment of a certain age and the ability to check a box should be sufficient qualification to have a say in the government of a society. There is the principle of paying one's dues. I wonder what George's pagan elders would think?
