That's correct. The main benefactor of this decision will be NextLevel Ltd because the ROBC will have to use xDSL technology to get speed thru the phone lines. The NextLevel platform I have heard is superior to Lucent's. (Lucent might sue me for saying that!)

How many saw the grand arrival of the new HDTV sets being for sale at the San Diego store yesterday! Most were there to take a look-see, but every one of those sets need a set-top box, AND THE INFRASTRUCTURE FROM YOUR LOCAL SERVICE PROVIDER!!
The sets cost $5500, the buying market is limited until alot more people can have the ability to get the most out of those sets, this will happen when mass buildout occurs...there is a HUGE effort to get this done because of all the money behind it....GIC will be a benefactor.
