"In my case i had a limit price of 45. At the time the sale was confirmed (when I cancelled it) the ask was 44 1/4. 3/4 to the ISDL MM?"

I don't get your complaint as far as the numbers are concerned. First, you didn't tell us whether the order was to buy or to sell. If the order was a sell with a limit of 45 and they executed it at 44 1/4, call and ask for a trade inquiry. You may have to squawk a little, but it should be reversible. If the order was a buy with a limit of 45, it looks like you got 3/4 of a point price improvement.

This is not to say I don't consider orders that just sit there in limbo to be acceptable. I am just trying to understand how you think Datek scalped 3/4 off of this trade.

Peter Stern doesn't have the balls to respond to any of these posts.

It's pretty sad when my ameritrade account is getting better fills than my datek. - that's pathetic.

If you're a frequent daytrader, use mb trading, Etrade, etc. Datek's order routing system just isn't up to par to those other ones. Claiming Datek is the fastest is a joke Peter.

Whenever I call Datek about their system, they think I'm a newbie. Whenever I start drilling them about their system, they realize it's slow. Datek makes money on order flow, therefore gets the lousiest fills. Don't bother trading GCTY with Datek.

I use Datek strictly for shorts now unless my funds are tied up. Don't mean to gripe but I just want to warn future investors to use a system with arca or Real Tick III.

Those that are satisfied with Datek trade about once a year.

Ciao

p.s. Rene, how's that MB trading going?
