Linda, Apple is still a "surprise"- hooray!

It all looks like a pretty sure thing to me. I can see the potential for troubles this Q, but Q4 looks like a total slam dunk.

A lot of people are sure that "Apple is dead." Good for them! I think that AAPL will need to put together several years of increasing revinues and market share before "people" think Apple is a turnaround. By then, the speculative profits are all out of the stock.

We are still hovering near $40, and the big show has not yet begun!

Saw the hold viewed as a sell, saw the bearskins - started firing ! Advt begins !

Didn't downgrade you to a bear Linda , just trying to keep the nervous types here from "pullin da trigga " , as the " pros " sure have a way with words .

Expected iMAC advt ( $100 mnl !!! ) is kicking in Sunday and we should see a steady rise in value due to "expectations" :

" CUPERTINO, Calif., Aug. 13, /PRNewswire/ -- Apple Computer, Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL - news) today announced it is launching the largest marketing campaign in the Company's history for iMac, with paid media advertising totaling over $100 million during the remainder of the calendar year.

iMac, Apple's new consumer computer, goes on sale nationwide this Saturday, August 15, and new iMac television commercials will premier nationally this Sunday, August 16."

Incidentally I like bears , and as often mentioned here by WebDrone , they assist in portfolio growth .

Like holding XXX > XXX > Safeway = $$$$ (don't recall the store names) would have been a better long term holding . APPL may be deja vu back all over again !

Regards,
Jim K.
